1st Level Helper: TR
The first person you will speak to is a Transfer Representative (TR). This person will determine your eligibility for a repayment plan. They will ask you some simple questions like; Are you still in school? How long have you been out of school? Are you earning an income? Do you know if your loans are private or federal? There are certain stipulations that apply in order to qualify for a repayment program. If you don’t qualify, we will set a time to call you back and if you do then you will move on to chat with an Intake Specialist. Your conversation with the TR will go a little like this…
“Hi Miss. King, my name is Ashley and I am your Transfer Representative. I’m here to help determine if we can help you with a repayment plan.”
2nd Level Helper: IS
Once you have chatted to the TR, you will be handed over to an Intake Specialist. As we are a small office, there is every chance that the person you speak to will be able to do both the TR and IS function and sometimes ever the enrollment as well. Your Intake Specialist will need about 20-30 minutes to go through an application with you. They will capture details like your name, address, email, loan types, references, place of employment etc. All of this information is required in order to enroll you into a program. This step is a bit like filling in the form at the doctors office when you go for the first time. Your conversation will go a little like this…
“Hi Mrs. Smith, I’m Winter and I will be your Intake Specialist. I’m here to guide you through the application process and get you started on the road to enrollment. We will need about 20-30 minutes and I will answer any questions I can for you.”
3rd Level Helper: ES
In the third phase of your application you will speak to an Enrollment Specialist. This is the person who is going to dig in and review your loans and options with you. They will likely use terms like deferment, default, forbearance, consolidation etc. Not all of these terms will necessarily apply to you but some of them may certainly. You are of course free to ask any questions you have and we will always answer to the best of our capability. If you decide to proceed with what we suggest, you will be advised of a plan of action to get you enrolled as quickly as possible. You will also be advised of our fees at this time and asked how you would like to pay the fees. As mentioned earlier, we provide a very service for a very detailed and sometime confusing process and we are a private company. You can expect the conversation with your Enrollment Specialist to go start along these lines…
“Hi Mr. Jones, my name is Jamie and I will be your Enrollment Specialist. My job is to help you find the program that best suits your needs and get you into that program quickly and efficiently.”
